  This person is assumed to be the illigitimate child of Charles Simms. Although she was registered as Edith Coddington at birth, at the time of the 1891 census she was named as Edith Simms (age 6, born at Dunston) and was visiting Charles Simms' brother and wife at Sheffield with Susannah Simms. No birth of such an Edith Simms was registered. After her marriage there is no further reference to her or her husband. They may have emigrated (A Mr. C Fell, joiner, and Mrs. Fell left London for New South Wales on 26/07/1912).
