  • Notes
    • Buried at Clowne 12/08/1895.
      Gravestone gives death 09/08/1895.
      Baptised Susannah.
She and her husband came to Clowne with her sister and husband (the Driffills). Her husband presumably worked in the mine like Sam Driffill.
In 1891 census she was visiting her brother in law at Sheffield. She was accompanied by an Edith Simms, born 1884/5 at Dunston. There was no sign of her husband. Edith could have been her daughter but there is no further reference to her. There is no evidence that Edith lived at Clowne when Charles and Susannah moved there. Perhaps she died, although there is no registration.
