Farnsworth, Divernon, Springfield, Illinois.(Joseph Edward Farnsworth had arrived on 01/05/1904, age 25). He arrived with $30. His contact in UK was given as Mrs. Lenthall, 1 Handley Street, Chesterfield.
      His description was:- Height 5ft. 61/2 in., complexion fair, hair brown, eyes brown.

      Divernon is about 15 miles south of Springfield.

      (bp) feet long; 75 feet wide. Steam quadruple expansion engines, twin screw. Service speed 16 knots. 2,875 passengers (425 first class, 450 second class, 2,000 third class). Built for White Star and Dominion Lines, in 1904. Liverpool-New York service. Largest ship afloat, 1904-05. Troopship during World War I. Scrapped in 1933.
