In 1905 directory is given as a partner with his brother in law, George Frederick Lester in the fruit merchant's business of Burwell and Lester. Address at that time given as 40 Cavendish Street, Great Crosby.
Emigrated with family to Sydney from Liverpool on 'Persic' 14/12/1911. However, Muriel Burwell is said to have died in New Zealand. There is no sign of events concerning these Burwells in the NSW records.
