Notes - No marriage found. The only marriage of an Annie Devine is at Wakefield, M-1882 and it is not to Frederick William Lester. As Frederick and Annie had a child in 1880/1881 it is unlikely that it is the same Annie. It is not clear what became of Annie and of the children Florence and Thirza as no deaths are registered and they are not listed in the 1901 census. By 1893, Frederick William Upton Lester was in London and marrying for the second time. It is fairly clear that these are the same person as the birth place is correct and the death certificate for his second wife mentions that he was commercial traveller for flour mills and in 1891 he was a corn miller.
