    In 1881 census was a domestic servant to a joiner and wheelwright at North Road, Clowne, and birthplace is given as Blakenall, which is part of or adjoining Bloxwich.

    Between the 1901 and 1911 censuses (probably about 1905) she emigrated to Canada with lodger Edward Flanaghan and his daughter Julia. taking her daughters Bertha and Ethel with her.
