His contact in UK was given as Mrs. Lenthall, 1 Handley Street, Chesterfield.
His description was:- Height 5ft. 61/2 in., complexion fair, hair brown, eyes brown.

Divernon is about 15 miles south of Springfield.

Built for Cunard Line, British flag, in 1907. Liverpool-New York service. Wartime service, 1914-18. Used primarily as a cruiseship, 1930-34. Broken up in Scotland in 1935.

A steerage passage on the Mauritania cost £6 which was approximately two months salary (ref. National Maritime museum).
Must have lived into the 1940's as Ernest Albert can remember her and he was born in 1940.
In 1940 census was widowed and living with daughter Dora and son in law Fred Setzer.

Marriage certificate and gravestone suggest birth in 1844 but baptism at Warsop is 21/11/1847 and registration was December quarter 1947.1851 census indicates birth between April 1845 and March 1846, but this is unlikely because William Joshua was baptised 26/07/1846 and was presumably born just before.
1891 census suggests birth 1843/4.
Death certificate suggests birth 1843/4.

May have a brother Thomas (age 72 in 1861), a grocer, living at Barlborough with his wife Catherine aged 63 in 1861 (Thomas Lenthall and Catherine Unwin married 01/12/1825 at Barlborough) (Catherine baptised 24/09/1797 at Barlborough).
Parents probably George Lenthall, born 1763/4, and Mary ?, born 1767/8 (1841 census, living at Barlborough). Both were born in Derbyshire (Mary at Harthill, Yorkshire according to 1851 census). Living with them were Robert, born 1804/5 and Elizabeth, born 1798/9. This George probably died Worksop RD, S-1846, 15-525. They were still living with their mother in 1851. No baptisms in IGI for them or George Junior.

George married Ann Milner. Ann (daughter of John Milner and Living) was born in 1800 in Barlborough, Derbyshire; died on 20 Dec 1876 in Barlborough. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Henry married Charlotte Robinson Cowlishaw on 16 Jul 1839 in Sheffield. Charlotte (daughter of William Cowlishaw and Elizabeth Robinson) was born about 21 Apr 1816 in Warsop, Nottinghamshire; died after Apr 1891. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

According to 1851 census was born between April 1816 and March 1817.
In 1891 was living with daughter Martha Ann and her husband (age given as 67).
In 1881 was living with daughter Martha Ann and her husband.
In 1861 was living in Mansfield Workhouse with daughters Martha Ann and Mary Ann.
Possible death D-1899 (Worksop district) but age is 10 years too young. Daughter and son in law were living at Killamarsh in 1901 so could be the correct one.
Birth in 1824/5 cannot be correct as marriage and first child by 1840 unlikely. Also baptism record is for 1816.
